Voyager School Project

Jim and Celia Sommerfeldt and Sarah Boersen are the rocking teachers at Voyager School --- the Reggio-Inspired elementary school in the Grand Haven Area Public School District.

Being lucky smiley, I get to participate in their wonderfully creative ideas with my musical skills.

Over the past ten years Jim has set a number of Shel Silverstein and Joy Cowley poems to music.  From there, he and I have used all of the fun tools of the electronic age to make those songs danceable, singable, and generally fun for the kids and their parents to learn.

With the understanding that this page is here for the purpose of promoting literacy and reading with the Voyager students, we are posting them here for you to enjoy.
